I had the privilege of attending my first Tech 50 Awards banquet on Thursday, November 14, which celebrated the most innovative and impactful technology companies in the Pittsburgh region.
Schneider Downs was a proud sponsor of this annual event, which was organized by the Pittsburgh Technology Council, and brought together industry leaders, entrepreneurs and tech enthusiasts to recognize outstanding achievements in various categories, including AI, robotics and software development.
The evening kicked off with a networking session, where attendees had the opportunity to connect with peers and discuss the latest trends in technology. The atmosphere was vibrant, with many expressing excitement about the future of Pittsburgh’s tech scene. The awards ceremony itself was a highlight, featuring inspiring speeches from industry leaders and heartfelt acceptance speeches from the winners, while the audience enjoyed a nice dinner.
On social media, attendees shared their experiences and highlights from the event. Many praised the organization and the opportunity to meet like-minded professionals. The event also featured a post-event happy hour, where I had the opportunity to meet some of the evening’s award recipients. I was very impressed with the diverse group of companies and backgrounds of the people in attendance. Being from our Columbus market, a market that also boasts a robust startup and technology scene, it was great to see what a presence technology has in Pittsburgh. Overall, the Tech 50 Awards was a resounding success, highlighting the vibrant tech ecosystem in Pittsburgh and fostering a sense of community among its members. The positive feedback on social media reflects the event’s impact and the excitement surrounding the region’s technological advancements. As one honoree aptly put it, “Pittsburgh’s tech future is bright, and #Tech50 is a testament to that!”
