Description: This session will explore current economic and industry updates, recent legislative and regulatory changes, and provide an overarching perspective on the NFP sector.

Accounting Standards Update and Higher Education Reporting Changes (50 minutes – 1 CPE Credit) – 1:25 – 2:15 PM

Description: This session will provide an update on recent changes in U.S. GAAP, including a focus on CECL, crypto assets, and other recent accounting standards updates, as well as a description of other projects currently on the Financial Accounting Standards Board’s pipeline. We will also discuss recent reporting changes related to the Higher Education sector.
Learning Objective: Identify recent NFP accounting standard changes and their impact to the NFP industry. We will also identify reporting changes required by the Department of Education.
