It is estimated that the assets of donor advised funds, or DAFs, mushroomed to more than $85 billion at the end of 2016 from $30 billion in 2010. In addition, the passage of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 (TCJA) has created a new tax environment that includes an incentive for more taxpayers to consider DAFs as part of their tax planning strategies. As a result, nonprofits need to understand the full circle of the DAF process to learn how to tap into grant distributions from these funds.
Join Schneider Downs’ Tax Shareholder, Gene Logan, and the Executive Vice President of the Pittsburgh Foundation, Yvonne Maher, to learn more about DAFs and how to partner with community foundations to apply for funding. The presentation will include an open forum discussion to answer any questions your organization has on the DAFs and TCJA.
We will be offering two CPE credits. Certificates will be available after the session.
