Managing Cloud Vendor Risks

Join Schneider Downs for a webinar about managing cloud vendor risks presented by Bill Deller.

Managing Cloud Vendor Risks – Outsourcing services and processes to vendors provides flexibility, convenience and cost savings, and allows your people to focus on what they do best. However, you can’t outsource the risks associated with giving vendors access to your sensitive data. Cloud vendors, in particular, involve layers of complexity just to understand who is responsible for maintaining effective security posture. This presentation will give you the knowledge to understand where your data is stored and who is responsible for the security of that data. We will discuss lessons learned from the field and address how your organization needs to assess and mitigate cloud vendor risks to maintain confidentiality, integrity and availability of your sensitive data.

Bill is a Manager on the IT Risk Advisory Services team at Schneider Downs. He is a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and a Certified Third Party Risk Professional and Assessor (CTPRP/CTPRA). He has experience in Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) designing programs from the ground up, enhancing programs’ maturity levels, and performing technical security assessments as part of TPRM continuous monitoring activities. He also has experience managing world-class TPRM programs on behalf of global institutions. He is an active participant on various committees and has played a key role designing the CTPRA certification for the Shared Assessments Group, a leader in developing Third Party Risk Management standards.
