JOSEPH A. BRUCE CPA

Joe has more than 28 years of public accounting experience since joining the firm in 1996. His background includes serving a variety of clients—both public and private—from a diverse group of industries, including technology, construction, manufacturing, retail and natural resources.

Joe assists clients with financial reporting and operational matters and is responsible for the overall management and supervision of audit engagements. Such responsibilities require significant planning and administrative skills and extensive knowledge of financial reporting requirements, key technical issues and understanding the operating concerns of the entities served. Joe regularly attends local and national conferences for various industries, and he has significant involvement in the firm’s industry groups.

Paraphrasing the Andrew Carnegie line, “Teamwork is the ability to work together toward a common vision. The ability to direct individual accomplishment toward organizational objectives. It is the fuel that allows common people to attain uncommon results.

My Dad

What was your childhood dream?
I always wanted to play centerfield for the Pirates

People would be surprised to know that I…….
….was in the emergency room at least once a year until I reached my mid-twenties

What is the best or most interesting thing about your career?
I will spend my entire career working for just one company – Schneider Downs.

Working on a farm
