Pennsylvania has two types of tax credits related to education. Schnieder Downs help our clients participate in these worthwhile programs, allowing both businesses and individuals to achieve both Pennsylvania tax savings along with supporting educational improvement and scholarships.
We can assist you in applying for these credits and determining available tax savings. The program is administered through the PA Department of Community and Economic Development and includes:
Supports scholarship organizations and educational improvement organizations. These are nonprofits that support innovative programs in public schools.
Contributions to approved IRC 501(c) organizations/private schools that provide scholarships to eligible students living within the boundary of the lowest achieving 15% of elementary and secondary schools as determined by the Department of Education.
These incentives can result in deductible contributions (subject to federal rules) and state credits while assisting with your philanthropic goals.
