Schneider Downs was the first experience I had with public accounting. I have had previous experience working in a small tax firm and another accounting internship for our local courthouse, but none of my previous work compared to my time at Schneider Downs. Working remotely for a public accounting firm felt nerve-racking at first, but every Schneider Downs staff member went out of their way to support and guide me through the internship. I was able to meet a variety of staff members (even though working remotely), and each of them made me feel like I knew them all personally rather than just meeting them through a webcam.
The first few days at Schneider Downs I was really nervous, having had little auditing experience, but with the guidance from my Seniors and other staff, I quickly caught on. The amount of knowledge I obtained in the past six weeks surpasses anything I ever expected. I would like to continue working in the auditing field, and I owe it all to the support and leadership shown to me by all the personnel that I worked with.
Schneider downs has given me a truly terrific internship experience. Even with having completed other jobs and an internship in the past, this company has showed me an experience that I will carry on with me in the future.
