COLUMBUS, Ohio — Schneider Downs announced its first-time sponsorship of the Memorial Tournament, one of the PGA TOUR’s premier events held annually at Muirfield Village Golf Club near Columbus, Ohio.
Founded by Jack Nicklaus in 1976, the Memorial Tournament is recognized for world-class competition and a longstanding commitment to philanthropy, with more than $56 million raised for charity. Nationwide Children’s Hospital serves as the tournament’s primary beneficiary, supporting pediatric care and community health initiatives across Central Ohio.
As part of a two-year Premier Sponsorship, Schneider Downs will make a $50,000 contribution in 2026 to Nationwide Children’s Hospital in support of its Journey to 5 initiative. The program is focused on improving kindergarten readiness by expanding access to early childhood resources, education and developmental support for children ages 0-5.
“Schneider Downs has been proud to serve and invest in the Columbus community for more than 35 years,” said Chris McElroy, Co-CEO of Schneider Downs. “Our sponsorship of the Memorial Tournament reflects our continued commitment to supporting organizations and initiatives that create meaningful impact for children, families and communities across Central Ohio.”
The sponsorship officially launched with Schneider Downs’ participation in the Legends Luncheon VIP Reception on May 5. The event raised $1.5 million for Nationwide Children’s Hospital and the Nicklaus Children’s Health Care Foundation.
